According to Feeding America, there are about 1,456,200 people in North Carolina that are struggling with hunger and of that 1 million people 443, 040 are children. Meaning that every 1 in 7 adults and 1 in 5 children struggle with hunger, food insecurity, and lack of basic need items (2018).
