The new Forsyth Works website is an online resource for workers and employers that’s supported by American Rescue Act Plan (ARPA) funds approved by the Forsyth County Commissioners.
At www.ForsythWorksNC.com, job seekers can find current local employment opportunities. They can also learn about top industries in the area, explore career pathways and connect directly to credential and degree programs to help them qualify for careers in those fields. Job seekers can also find upcoming events to help them develop workforce skills and community resources to help them overcome barriers to work.
The website features resources for employers looking to find or build a skilled workforce or who wish to locate their business in Forsyth County. The site also has upcoming events for job seekers and employers on career readiness and employment resources.
Forsyth Works is a collaborative effort by Greater Winston-Salem, Inc., Forsyth Technical Community College, Goodwill Industries of Northwest NC, Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools and Forsyth County Government.
“The Forsyth County Commissioners are pleased to support the Forsyth Works initiative,” said County Commissioner Chair Don Martin. “The goal of bridging the gap between job seekers and employers will generate more economic opportunity in Forsyth County. The partner organizations working on this effort have a proven, successful history of collaboration and we are excited to bring this new resource to the community.”
