Forsyth County Department of Public Health is partnering with Galilee Missionary Baptist Church for a testing event in honor of World AIDS Day on Friday, Dec. 1 from 2-4 p.m. at Food Lion, 1499 New Walkertown Road.
The event will include free testing for HIV and STIs (Sexually Transmitted Infections) and educational resources on STI prevention by Forsyth Public Health’s POSSE (Prevent Ongoing Spread of STIs Everywhere) program. There will also be gift card giveaways for participants while supplies last.
Both organizations hope to raise awareness about the importance of regular testing and staying informed about HIV and other STIs.
POSSE conducts testing at locations around the community on a regular basis. For more information, visit possehealth.org.
