Candice Benbow brings Red Lip Theology to the Central Library on March 20
The writer and teacher Candice Benbow has familial and spiritual roots right here in Winston-Salem.
Now based in Atlanta, she is known for her words and work that build hope, equity and empowerment through her faith.
She created the Lemonade Syllabus, an extensive reading list created to reflect and amplify that "Black Girl Magic," the strength and empowerment of Beyonce's breakthrough album "Lemonade" through reading in 2016. Her experience and focus are in the life as a woman of color, but through that lens, Ms. Benbow reveals truths that are universal.
Ms. Benbow will appear at the Central Branch of the Forsyth County Public Library on Sunday, March 20 at 2 p.m.
