Update regarding programs at the NC Cooperative Extension Forsyth County Center

Cooperative Extension has been an effective educational system for over 100 years. COVID-19 will not stop us from doing our best work in all areas of programming. This is certainly an unprecedented and challenging time in our history. I am trying my best to do the right thing for the staff, volunteers and visitors to our building for their overall health and safety.

Experts have informed us that exercising social distancing, wearing masks and practicing good hygiene are the best ways to ensure the health and safety of ourselves and those around us. Staying home has been ordered by the Governor and we are following that order.

As we follow the guidelines set forth by Forsyth County, NC State University and A&T State University Cooperative Extension systems, we understand the frustration and sadness that occurs from suspended programs. We, too, are sad and frustrated. Please be assured that we are doing our best to deliver on our joint mission, “NC Cooperative Extension transforms science into everyday solutions for North Carolinians through programs and partnerships focused on agriculture and food, health and nutrition, and 4-H youth development.” We are all working diligently from remote locations to provide amazing alternative programs for our clientele during this difficult time.

In the meanwhile, please visit our websites (listed above), call our office and email us with your questions. Thank you for the time and energy you have generously given to Cooperative Extension. Volunteers are a crucial and valuable part of everything we do. Thank you for your commitment! We look forward to seeing all of you again.
