Magistrate performing marriages by appointment only

Until further notice, Forsyth County Magistrates will perform marriage ceremonies by appointment only from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday for couples who obtained a marriage license from the Forsyth County Register of Deeds Office.

They will no longer accept walk-in customers or perform ceremonies if the license was issued in another NC county.

Appointments for a marriage license can be made by calling the Register of Deeds Office at 336-703-2700. Appointments for marriage ceremonies can be made by calling the Magistrates at 336-779-6319.
