NC’s Big Pour 2019 will bring the Southeast’s newest annual craft beverage festival to Tanglewood Park on Sept. 14 from 9 a.m.- 6 p.m.
The festival will feature craft beer, coffee, cider, tea and honey along with food, arts and crafts. There will be live music, including JJ Grey & Mofro and Lettuce, along with free tastings, competitions, demonstrations, a kids’ area and more. This rain or shine event will celebrate the ever-growing popularity of the craft beverage industry. The inaugural festival is expected to have approximately 150 vendors along with numerous food trucks.
"We want to turn people on to ways they can support the local craft breweries, coffee roasters, and local artists & crafters. We feel like this will be an opportunity for the community to come together to learn more about things they are already interested in. Who doesn’t like coffee or beer?” said organizer Kristin Schollander.
Schollander said she hopes future festivals will attract breweries and coffee roasters from surrounding states to give guests a unique experience of being able to try coffee and beer they won’t be able to get otherwise.
This event is organized by the non-profit Support Local Everything with assistance from Catbird Art & Events, LLC and support from Forsyth County. Support Local Everything, INC, which raises awareness of the importance of supporting all things local, will be raising funds through this year’s event to support Pink Boots Society, Moji Coffee & More, Forsyth Beekeepers Association and Arts for Life.
