Historic Marker Program Applications Due Oct. 31!

Forsyth County and the Historic Resources Commission are looking for those exceptional locations in areas outside of any city or town limits to place a Historic Marker to help citizens remember the past.

Citizens may submit applications for sites in Forsyth County outside any city or town limits that are tied to a historical/cultural event, building, organization or individual of historic significance.

Residents of Forsyth County can find pride in sites of well-known local history and discover long-forgotten stories from our community’s past.

Forsyth County’s Historic Marker Program seeks to highlight the full-range of important and interesting local history that our county has to offer.
