Brown-headed nuthatch with Cynthia Donaldson July 7th

Have you ever heard a “squeaky toy” sound coming from the pine trees around your neighborhood? It is probably a Brown-headed Nuthatch! The population of this little bird in the Piedmont has been declining. Audubon North Carolina’s Bird Friendly Communities program has a goal of putting up 10,000 next boxes for Brown-headed Nuthatches by 2015. Come and learn about this interesting bird and find out what you can do to help! Free. For all ages! Cynthia Donaldson, a member of the Forsyth Audubon, will be sharing a presentation about these birds.
