Representatives from the North Carolina State Board of Elections will conduct a Public Comment Hearing on the proposed rules for the implementation of the 2016 voter photo ID requirements on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. The hearing will be held in the Multi-Purpose room on the 4th Floor of the Forsyth County Government Center located at 201 N. Chestnut Street Winston Salem, NC 27101.
The public hearing is listening opportunity for the State Board of Elections to receive comment on the proposed rules (listing of proposed rules here: ftp://alt.ncsbe.gov/Rulemaking/public_comment_notice_rr.pdf).
Hearings will also be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the following locations:

June 5 - Wilmington - Hanover County Human Resources Department, Conference Room 401230 Government Center Drive, Suite 135, Wilmington

All hearings are open to the public. Those interested in providing comments are invited to attend hearings or to submit written comments to the State Board of Elections via email rules@ncsbe.gov or mail (PO Box 27255, Raleigh, NC 27611-7255, to the attention of Rule-making Coordinator).
