Alison Duncan, Community Gardening Coordinator for Forsyth County, will be teaching a class called “Cover Crops in the Garden” at the Forsyth County Cooperative Extension Center on Tuesday, August 19, 2014, from 6pm to 8pm. This class is being offered as a part of the Sustainable Growing Series.
Growing a cover crop is one of the best things you can do for your soil and, in turn, for your garden. Cover crops increase organic matter, reduce erosion, attract beneficial insects, and so much more. Come learn some cover cropping techniques that you can apply in your home or community garden, and plant a cover crop this fall!
