On May 29, 2014, the Forsyth County Board of Commissioners approved the FY 2014-2015 Budget which begins July 1, 2014.
A Public Hearing on the County Manager's proposed budget was held on June 27, 2014 and Commissioners held a budget workshop on June 28, 2014.
The adopted budget includes a tax rate of 71.68 cents per $100 valuation which is the same rate used for FY 2013-2014. which is the current rate. Of the proposed 71.68 cent tax rate, 4.51 cents is dedicated to two Education Debt Leveling Plans. Sales Taxes are projected at a 3% increase based on overall expected economic activity for the County and an expanded base. The growth projections are within the range anticipated by State consensus projections.
