On the evening of Friday, November 22, children and families from across the Triad will be enjoying a new holiday tradition at the Festival of Lights – by rolling and strolling. The 2nd Annual Roll & Stroll to benefit Arts For Life is a family fun bike ride, stroller push, and leisurely stroll through Tanglewood Park in Clemmons, on the night before the Festival of Lights opens to car traffic for the holiday season.
Roll & Strollers will make their way on foot or on wheels through the Festival of Lights, enjoying live music and entertainment along the way, visiting with Santa and Mrs. Claus, and raising funds and awareness for Arts For Life. Founded in 2001 at Brenner Children’s Hospital, Arts For Life is a nonprofit organization that brings arts education to young patients and families battling cancer and other serious illnesses. Funds raised at the Roll & Stroll go directly to sustain Arts For Life’s support services for the Triad community’s children and families in need.
The Roll & Stroll will take place on Friday, November 22, with on-site registration opening at 4:30 pm at Shelter 2 in Tanglewood Park. Roll & Strollers will start on the 2.5 mile course between 6 and 7 pm. Participants are encouraged to register early online and create a personal fundraising page to invite friends, family, and neighbors to share in their support of Arts For Life. The top fundraiser will win a Kindle Fire. Admission for adults is $20, students $10, and kids ages 12 and under attend free.
