On Tuesday, July 10, Tanglewood will continue its annual summer series: Tuesdays at Tanglewood. The fourth program will be Native Americans of the Piedmont.
Examine artifact replicas and take a nature walk to find out how these advanced cultures enjoyed a life of abundance from the wealth of our surrounding natural resources. Children will make Native American friendship bracelets.
To participate in the Native Americans of the Piedmont program, meet at Shelter 2 at 10:00 am. All programs last approximately one hour.
The summer programs feature a variety of nature activities and will be free to the public, with the exception of the $2 per car Tanglewood Park entrance fee for all programs at Shelter 2 and Walnut Hall. Registered RV campers and annual pass holders do not pay the entrance fee.
Participants should bring their own sunscreen, insect repellent, water bottle, and wear comfortable hiking clothes and shoes. The programs are designed for all ages, but children ages 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
