New to Downloading eBooks & Audiobooks?

Love to read? Want to enjoy a good book on your own computer or portable device? Let us introduce you to Downloading Media and a growing collection of ebooks and audiobooks in our Virtual Library. We invite you to learn about this 24/7 service that you can enjoy from home or anywhere you have internet access.

Reading or listening to books in digital formats has increased dramatically in popularity! FCPL has added downloading classes and open help labs through the Computer Training Bridge.

If you are just getting started, visit the Downloadable Media page and come to a Downloading Media workshop. If you need help troubleshooting the process, come to a class or bring your own equipment and drop in for open help labs on Mondays. Each session includes attention to:

  • Demonstrations
  • Navigating the North Carolina Digital Library (powered by OverDrive)
  • Using your compatible devices. Not sure if your device works with OverDrive services, check here.

Choose the option that’s right for you!
