An Author Visit with Leigh Somerville McMillan

Local author Leigh Somerville McMillan is coming to the Rural Hall Library to discuss her book, It All Started with a Dog. Ms McMillan’s first novel is the story of Rachel Springer, a tough Washington lawyer, whose life is changed forever by a ragged stray dog she finds on the streets of Georgetown.

Ms McMillan wrote Scene & Heard column for the Winston-Salem Journal for 10 years and has contributed to numerous regional and national magazines. Her work includes ghost-writing memoirs and legacy letters, facilitating writing workshop and retreats, coaching and public speaking.
