Lewisville Receives Major Gift from Reynolds American

Reynolds American Foundation has presented the Lewisville Branch Library with a $25,000 check to be used to add two Early Literacy Computer Stations, plus books, and other homework related materials to the branch’s inventory of resources. This is the second $25,000 grant awarded by the Reynolds American Foundation to the Lewisville branch for this purpose.

Fred W. Franklin, Secretary, Reynolds American Foundation, made the presentation on July 20 to Lewisville Branch supervisor Merrikay Brown and Library Director Sylvia Sprinkle-Hamlin.

The Reynolds American Foundation gift provides a tremendous boost to the Lewisville Library’s efforts to provide cutting edge resources to school kids of all ages who are increasingly more dependent on Library resources to complete homework assignments and major projects throughout the school year.
