Uncover Your History in the North Carolina Room

The North Carolina Room of the Forsyth County Public Library houses a broad range of non-circulating resources to suit your history and genealogy research needs. The NC Room also contains archived issues of magazines and newspapers as well as a wealth of local, state and federal information in several formats. Some printed documents are available for check out. Our knowledgeable staff will be happy to assist you with your project, whether you are a veteran researcher or just getting started. Visit us on the ground floor of the Central Library during regular library hours.

Genealogy Consultants are available during the following hours:
Tuesdays: 1:00 - 5:00 pm
Wednesdays: 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
First and Third Thursday of every month: 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

This service is free of charge and no appointment is necessary.
