Forsyth County has a new Human Resources Director effective July 19th with the selection of Mr. John A. Dean. "I am honored to have been selected for this position, and I am excited about working with Forsyth County as we strive to continue to make progress during these tough economic times that affect employees and citizens of this County," Dean said.
Dean brings a combination of public sector and private sector experience with 20 years of management experience in human resources. His public sector experience has been as HR Director for Davidson County and recently for Rockingham County. He has ties to Forsyth County having worked previously as HR Director for Winston-Salem based Douglas Battery Manufacturing Company, as well as having been an HR Area Manager for Sara Lee Knit Products
Dean has a degree in Psychology from Pfeiffer University, and belongs to several professional HR organizations. He has the professional designation as an International Public Management Association for Human Resources Certified Professional (IPMA-CP). He is in the process of relocating from his home in Guilford County to reside in Forsyth County.
