Computer Classes for Kids and Teens

During April, Southside Branch Library will offer computer classes and programs especially for kids and teens. Here’s a look at what’s coming up.

Homework Help:  When you child has a homework assignment, is Google the first and last place they look?  Are you and your child having trouble finding information for school projects? Students and their parents are invited to this highly informative, hands-on workshop that will show you how to identify and use free internet resources to complete homework assignments.  April 14th @ 7 pm, April 16th @ 4PM

Superheroes and Wimps:  Create your own superhero or transform yourself into a wimp. What?!!! Join us in the computer lab and create your own superhero character or check out the new “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” website where you can transform yourself into a virtual wimp. Ever wondered would you would look like as a wimp? Here’s a chance to find out for yourself. And we’ll even give you free color printouts of your characters so you can share your, ahem, “new look” with friends and family, if you want to that is!.  April 19th @ 4PM

Introduction to PowerPoint for Teens:  Learn all the steps and tips you’ll need to know for an A+ PowerPoint presentation. We’ll gather in the computer lab and learn step-by-step instructions of the building a great PowerPoint presentation. April 23rd @ 4PM
