Southside Branch to Host Kevin Adams

Photographer Kevin Adams has a lifelong love affair with nature, particularly the mountains and coast of his native North Carolina. A naturalist, writer, teacher, and photographer, Adams will present his re-creation of historic North Carolina photographs and share the challenges encountered in bringing to life his newest book, North Carolina Then & Now.

Adams is the author and photographer of several books including Our North Carolina, North Carolina’s Best Wildflower Hikes, Hiking Great Smokey Mountains National Park, Waterfalls of Virginia and West Virginia, Wildflowers of the Southern Appalachians and North Carolina Waterfalls. He also writes magazine articles and his photographs appear in books, magazines, calendars, and advertisements across the country. Kevin’s newest project is a travel pictorial book titled Backroads of North Carolina and will be published in spring of 2009. For more information call 703-2980.
