Periods of showers and a few heavy rain pockets continue to push through the Triad, Wednesday. Ozone remains very low and code GREEN while particle pollution is in the upper code GREEN range and could sneak into the lower code YELLOW category by the end of the day. High pressure, over the NE US, will remain in control of the surface weather through Saturday. The steady rainfall of the previous days will begin to relent become much more scattered each day. Additionally, Canadian wildfire smoke, circulating around the high, will funnel low level smoke into the SE during the forecast period. As a result, particle pollution will likely push back into the low to mid code YELLOW range Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Ozone will remain low and code GREEN through at least the early part of the weekend (GENTRY).
