Synopsis and Discussion
Particle pollution levels climbed overnight at a few locations in the Triad, but have since mixed out and will end the day in the upper code GREEN range. Despite, bright sunny skies and lower humidity, ozone remains low and code GREEN. High pressure will remain in control of the weather, Wednesday, before a weak cold front approaches the region from the west, Thursday. There will be little change to the weather, Wednesday, except for except for slightly warmer temperatures. Particle pollution and ozone are expected to remain fairly steady and within the code GREEN range, Wednesday. As the front approaches the region, Thursday, a few showers will be possible, helping to keep the AQI code GREEN for another day. The front will retreat back north on Friday, as a warmer air mass enters the state. Ozone and particle pollution my push higher towards the upper end of code GREEN or low code YELLOW, Friday (GENTRY).
