Animal Emergency Response Awareness Course

Have you ever thought of what you would do when you respond to an incident that involves a horse trailer, an animal stuck in a pond, loose livestock obstructing traffic, or a barn fire? Would you be able to assist? The NC Animal Emergency Response Working Group has developed an awareness course to introduce skills and resources for responders that may be involved in animal incidents. The training will be held on Friday, July 21 from 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 pm. at the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Forsyth County Center inside the Forsyth County Agricultural Building at 1450 Fairchild Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27105. You must register in TERMS to attend. Not enrolled in TERMS? Sign-up today at https://terms.ncem.org/.

Possible groups that would benefit from this training are:

  • fire/rescue departments
  • law enforcement
  • animal control/services
  • veterinarians
  • emergency management
  • technical animal response organizations
  • animal associations
  • trained wrecker services personnel
  • etc.
