Synopsis and Discussion
The Canadian wildfire smoke, which encompassed the region, Friday, has decreased, Saturday, helping to drop particle pollution back to mid/low code YELLOW. Ozone remains lower and code GREEN. High pressure over the NE US, which has controlled the weather for the past week, will begin to loosen its grip, through the forecast period. As a result, a slightly warmer, more humid, unsettled air mass will overspread the state. Particle pollution may hang on to low code YELLOW, Sunday, but drop back to code GREEN, Monday and Tuesday. Ozone is expected to remain low and code GREEN through Tuesday (GENTRY).
