Air quality levels reside in the upper Code GREEN range this afternoon as a cleaner and drier Canadian air mass has settled over the Triad to keep skies clear and sunny. High pressure will continue to reside over the Triad tomorrow, before moving offshore later in the day to allow for air quality levels to trend upward into the lower Code YELLOW range. Temperatures and dewpoints continue to rise Tuesday and Wednesday as the surface high pressure ridge remains offshore while upper level ridging keeps any potential convective activity from moving into the Triad until Wednesday afternoon. With that said, expect air quality levels to remain in the lower Code YELLOW range through mid-week. (Payne)
