Synopsis and Discussion
Cool, clean, high pressure, centered over the NE US, is leading to a continuation of GOOD air quality, throughout the Triad, Tuesday. This ridge will drift south, Wednesday, settling overhead, Thursday and Friday, resulting in clear, warm, dry and increasingly stagnant conditions. Ozone and particle pollution will begin to climb back to mid and upper code GREEN Wednesday. Weather conditions by Thursday and Friday will be much more condusive for ozone production and higher, code YELLOW ozone readings. Particle pollution looks to climb back to upper code GREEN Thursday and possibly lower code YELLOW, Friday, as well (GENTRY).
