Synopsis and Discussion
Despite heavy rainfall, mainly in the eastern part of the Triad, Sunday, particle pollution levels remain slightly elevated in low code YELLOW, Monday. Ozone is also pushing into the upper code GREEN category. A hot, humid, unsettled weather pattern will return to the region, Tuesday through Thursday. This pattern will also be fairly stagnant with little low level air mass mixing each day. While there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms each afternoon and evening, the coverage, most likely, won't be widespread enough to prevent particle pollution from remaining in the MODERATE range Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Ozone may be affected a bit more by the humidity and precipitation which will help limit the values to upper code GREEN or low code YELLOW, each day (GENTRY).
