On February 16, 2025, Officer Gamble was assigned to 8A and 8B housing units. At approximately 1445 hours, an inmate was escorted to the 8 North multi-purpose room by a supervisor. Officer Gamble entered the multi-purpose room to hand the supervisor the inmates’ face sheet and information. At that moment Officer Gamble noticed the inmate standing very close to the supervisor and was speaking very aggressively to him. Without hesitation, Officer Gamble approached and advised the inmate to back up. The inmate did not comply with the directive given. Officer Gamble advised the inmate several more times to back up, but the inmate did not comply. The inmate then struck the supervisor with a closed fist. Officer Gamble immediately assisted the supervisor in securing the inmate and placing him in handcuffs. The supervisor was then transported to the hospital. Officer Gamble’s selflessness, willingness to take action, and rapid response prevented that supervisor from acquiring more life-threatening injuries. Officer Gamble is a great officer and makes great efforts to become better each day.
