Recently, the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office assumed the duties of Animal Services Division. Mr. Bird has been extremely helpful in providing assistance with this transition. Mr. Bird coordinated the help of several people in cleaning up the areas in and around the Animal Services building, worked with Grounds Maintenance on removing shrubbery, cleaning parking lots, repairing lights; and, moving spaces around within the building to accommodate both the Sheriff’s office and Forsyth Humane Society. Mr. Bird has never questioned or refused to assist with the major efforts that have been done and goes above and beyond his normal duties in making sure this transition and clean-up continue to be a success. As a result of the efforts Mr. Bird puts forth each day for the Animal Services Division, we are proud to recognize him as the Civilian Staff Member of the Month.
